PERMIT Concept

The PERMIT concept is simple. To provide a portable interface, easily handled in the construction environment, with synchronization with the desktop PC and web based networking capabilities, allowing for the rapid creation of a project management routine facilitating the monitoring of Infection Control Risk Assessments and Interim Life Safety Measures.

PERMIT will allow for input from multiple individuals, sharing a web based database, to create a common and agreed upon Risk Assessment of a proposed construction project. Post Risk Assessment, PERMIT provides a daily monitoring format, fully portable, with the capacity to synchronize with the network database.

The monitoring format links ILSM and ICRA prescriptive requirements with real world situations providing Facility Managers, Engineers, Architects, Construction Managers, Infection Control Personnel, and others a means to not only administer compliance, but maintain a documentation archive capable of presenting detailed reports delineating the entire process.

Deployment Technology

PERMIT will be deployed using state of the art PDA technology running the latest Windows operating system, or Palm hand held devices. Docked to a PC and synchronized, the user accesses the PERMIT database via Windows Internet Explorer or other web browsers. A basic system would consist of the PDA, Desktop PC,Printer, and the subscription service access to the PERMIT database. Being that PERMIT is web based, it is inherently a virtual private network capable of allowing multiple source input as required by guidelines, to formulate a multidisciplinary Infection Control Risk Assessment team. All this occurs seamlessly as the form data is collected and modified by the risk assessment team.

Database Management

PERMIT will allow provide clients with secure password protected access to the database. Healthrisk Technologies, Inc . maintains remote server space through a separate agreement with Global Bay Technologies, Inc. Global Bay ensures server uptime, back-up of data, and security.

Healthrisk Technologies will assist clients in project start up, formatting, establishing user rights and privileges, etc. as part of our support contract for the PERMIT system.

The PERMIT system will allow web based access to the database for both modification to collected form information, or printable reports.

Refer to the Healthrisk Technologies, Inc. Software License Agreement for complete information related to management of the database, and security issues.
